Located in a beautiful mansion built in the Second Empire in 1862, the Petit Palais, which opened in 1868, has a fine collection of paintings, sculptures and drawings essential in the history of modern art. Major trends from 1870 to 1930 are represented here by the masters such as Mane-Katz, Degas, Utrillo, and Cezanne. A particular emphasis is given to the Impressionist painters of the School of Paris.
